“I was called out to inspect a recurring failure. The contractor was using a 250HP tractor to drive a large tub kneader. They were snapping the tractor-side yoke ears every 50 hours of operation.

This is usually due to “starting under load.” If the mixer is full of wet, settled silage, the startup torque is immense. Standard triangular tubes can twist. You need a Star Profile hoặc Splined Shaft, which has much higher torsional rigidity. Also, ensure your clutch is set correctly.
We advise against it for main drives. Pellet presses have variable loads. A shear bolt will fatigue and snap unpredictably, causing nuisance downtime. A Ly hợp ma sát is superior as it can absorb momentary spikes without stopping the machine.
