“The facility manager noticed rust flakes on the floor near the blower intake. In a clean room environment, this is unacceptable. The existing PTO shaft connecting the 30kW motor to the blower was a standard agricultural unit. The yellow paint had peeled, and the condensation had rusted the yokes.
Even worse, the grease in the U-joints had emulsified with the moisture, losing its lubricating properties. The vibration from the worn joints was threatening to damage the high-speed blower bearings.
Soluția: Am instalat un 316 Stainless Steel Yoke Shaft with Rilsan-coated profile tubes. Rilsan (Nylon 11) is used on ship hulls; it’s impervious to salt water. We packed the bearings with NSF H1 Food Grade grease. The rust issue was solved permanently, and the shaft is now fully washdown-compliant.”
