To get it right, hook your ridger up to the tractor. Measure the distance from the locking groove on the tractor’s PTO stub to the groove on the implement’s input shaft. This is your “working length.” Always subtract about 75mm-100mm from the total compressed length of the new shaft to ensure it doesn’t bottom out when you lift the machine.
