“The facility manager noticed rust flakes on the floor near the blower intake. In a clean room environment, this is unacceptable. The existing PTO shaft connecting the 30kW motor to the blower was a standard agricultural unit. The yellow paint had peeled, and the condensation had rusted the yokes.<\/p>\n

Even worse, the grease in the U-joints had emulsified with the moisture, losing its lubricating properties. The vibration from the worn joints was threatening to damage the high-speed blower bearings.<\/p>\n
