Choosing the right shaft isn’t just about clicking “buy.” It\u2019s about fitment. The number one mistake I\u2019ve seen in 18 years? Incorrect length.<\/p>\n

1. The “Bottoming Out” Disaster:<\/strong> If your shaft is too long, when you lift the implement on the 3-point hitch, the shaft compresses. If it bottoms out (hits the end of the stroke) while the PTO is engaged, it will push straight into your tractor\u2019s PTO internal bearings or crack the gearbox casing.
