Modern high-density planting systems for Conference pears and Elstar apples have narrowed the row width significantly. This puts immense pressure on your machinery. When harvesting fruit intended for fresh market consumption (Albert Heijn, Jumbo, or export), bruising is the enemy. Bruising often comes from mechanical vibration transferring from the tractor PTO, through the shaft, into the harvester frame.

1. Constant Velocity (CV) Technology

We equip our orchard shafts with 80° Wide-Angle CV Joints on the tractor side. Unlike standard joints that pulse twice per revolution when angled, a CV joint transmits power smoothly, like fluid. This eliminates the “shudder” often felt on the harvesting platform when turning, ensuring the fruit on the sorting belt doesn’t bounce.

2. The Short-Coupling Challenge

Orchard implements are often mounted very close to the tractor to reduce the turning radius. This requires a shaft with a very short “Dead Length” (compressed length). We use customized Short-Profile Yokes and modified cross kits to shave off critical millimeters, allowing the shaft to compress further without bottoming out and damaging the tractor PTO stub.
