“I was called to a farm where they couldn’t attach the PTO shaft to the tractor. The telescoping tubes were rusted solid. The shaft had been left hanging on the mixer, exposed to pit fumes for 6 months.<\/p>\n

This is a classic problem. Standard triangular tubes have a large surface area for rust to bond. We replaced the shaft with our ‘Lemon’ Profile Shaft with Rilsan Coating<\/strong>. The Rilsan (nylon) coating on the inner tube is impervious to ammonia and provides a low-friction slide. Even if the outer tube gets dirty, the plastic-on-steel interface prevents the ‘rust-weld’ effect.<\/p>\n
