My dryer fan vibrates. Is it the fan or the shaft?

Disconnect the shaft and run the motor. If it’s smooth, connect the shaft but not the fan. If it vibrates, it’s the shaft. Standard agricultural shafts are not balanced for fan speeds (1500+ RPM). You need a Precision Balanced G6.3 shaft to protect your fan bearings.

Can I use a friction clutch inside a grain store?

We generally advise against it. Friction clutches generate heat when they slip. In a dusty grain store, this is a potential fire hazard. We recommend Shear Bolt limiters for indoor grain handling. They are cold-breaking and provide a positive stop.

Do you have adapters for electric motors?
